This amazing modern kitchen is part of a remarkable $600,000 renovation project at the luxurious Palace Pier condominium in Etobicoke. The 3250 sq ft in the sky offers breathtaking views of Lake Ontario and downtown Toronto, making it a truly unique space.
Constructed in 1978, the 46-story Palace Pier complex was considered the most luxurious residential complex in Canada at the time. Our clients purchased an apartment on the 42nd floor and completely redesigned it. They had a clear idea of what they wanted for the condo renovation: a clean, modern home that incorporated traditional elements to add a softer touch. The large kitchen had to align with this vision.
Modern Plus joined the project and handled the technical aspects, including the design of the bathrooms and the dressing room, reminiscent of a high-end fashion store. However, Modern Plus’s most visible contribution to this transformation project was the trendy and incredibly spacious kitchen.
Taking inspiration from European interior design, our clients chose Schroder Kitchen (Germany) cabinetry and Cambria® quartz countertops with waterfall edges. The main design concept centered around the contrast between glossy white cabinets and glossy, reflective Black Chocolate cabinets, representing elegance in its purest form. The dark glossy surfaces mirror the panoramic view of Lake Ontario, while the white glossy surfaces, complemented by white Miele and Sub-Zero appliances, create a sense of openness and airiness. This expansive white space is adorned with a wonderful collection of paintings that cover two walls, resulting in a modern kitchen filled with fine art and the spirit of the lake.
This extraordinary transformation caught the attention of the Toronto Star, which featured the project in an article. To learn more and see before and after photos, read the article: Toronto Star about Luxury Condo Renovation at Palace Pier
